Cuántas vidas quedan?

Durante mucho tiempo, llegado el fin de año, mi familia cercana ha hecho reflexiones sobre aquello que hemos aprendido y lo que deseamos para el futuro. Este último año tenía toda la intención de contarles sobre cómo he logrado iluminarme, pero probablemente esa palabra hubiera sido demasiado controversial.

Pero bueno, el caso es que si tuviera que definir este año con una palabra sería precisamente esa: iluminación. Y lo interesante es que a veces uno piensa que la iluminación pertenece a un momento definitivo, a algo que uno busca por años, con maestros, gurús...obtenido después de grandes sacrificios!. Y no, la verdad es que uno puede alcanzarla en cosas aparentemente tan mundanas como un viaje a la tiendita de la esquina o durante un viaje en Uber :)

Por momentos lo olvido, pero la vida me recuerda por n-ésima vez que debo dejar de buscar un momento en particular y en cambio disfrutar de los pequeños momentos y, en particular este año, que no deje de dudar!!:.

Nada se queda,
todo se secará.

Academics lie...

Most likely, they'll tell you all about how they solved hunger (or some other imaginary problem)... but in reality, they've just changed grants (sponsors):.

Some won't lie, maybe not just yet, but if you look closely, you'll find these individuals (pardon me the phrasing) 'nadando de muertito' or completely sold to the system...

And yet, people ask me why I didn't complete my studies:.

I've always believed that the language you use shapes who you think you are. The problem is that the more you stay somewhere, the more you take as your own a particular culture, including the language.

Am I worried?. Not really. I've always taken bits from all the places I've been.
It's just...I don't know, I didn't think we'd be so harsh to each other.
It's OK, maybe it's just my naïveté:.

What have I found after more than a year in  Guadalajara? Excellent food, great people, and some mercenaries...


Some people know (IT) companies are looking for talent,
and take advantage by preparing for interviews and not necessarily for producing working software,
...
the result: {companies and employees} valuing money over anything else.


Are there alternatives?
