Will we recognize old friends?:.

What's one of the hardest things for me to do...know when to move on.

It took me a while, but now I know that it's a good thing that the more you grow, the more you appreciate someone else's opinion (if nothing else, you've learnt you're not so reliable after all). The trick then becomes how to be surrounded by people whose opinion matters.

Now that I think about it, maybe I should really be moving on...

When this cycle ends,
Will it start again?.

And what have I got?:.

Some people say I should change my argumentation strategy, until they see its results. Others seek advice, until that advice is against their beliefs; some others believe we shouldn't contradict others, because...reasons; some others think they know better because...of some other reasons (yeah, right :)...what can I say to all of them?!:.

Believe in yourself, don't seek any one else's approval!!:.

Finally a new decade, good news for everyone, even if it only makes you think about what you were thinking 10 years ago. Thankfully, I have this blog to remind me: https://blog.jccastrejon.com/2009/ (spoiler alert, I wanted recognition...so 20's).

What's the difference now?. Well, I know now that recognition comes with a price (and you must ask yourself, are you really being recognized, or are you just being a tool for someone else's recognition).

So, what am I really looking for the next years?. Simply put, the rebellion of thinking!!.

Cuántas vidas quedan?

Durante mucho tiempo, llegado el fin de año, mi familia cercana ha hecho reflexiones sobre aquello que hemos aprendido y lo que deseamos para el futuro. Este último año tenía toda la intención de contarles sobre cómo he logrado iluminarme, pero probablemente esa palabra hubiera sido demasiado controversial.

Pero bueno, el caso es que si tuviera que definir este año con una palabra sería precisamente esa: iluminación. Y lo interesante es que a veces uno piensa que la iluminación pertenece a un momento definitivo, a algo que uno busca por años, con maestros, gurús...obtenido después de grandes sacrificios!. Y no, la verdad es que uno puede alcanzarla en cosas aparentemente tan mundanas como un viaje a la tiendita de la esquina o durante un viaje en Uber :)

Por momentos lo olvido, pero la vida me recuerda por n-ésima vez que debo dejar de buscar un momento en particular y en cambio disfrutar de los pequeños momentos y, en particular este año, que no deje de dudar!!:.

Nada se queda,
todo se secará.
